Our Amazon Wishlist came true!

Our wonderful Angels ready to deliver warm, waterproof sleeping bags to the rough sleepers across town.

Two weeks ago when the weather turned we posted a link to our Amazon Wishlist and requested sleeping bags, two days later the first delivery arrived and by the end of the week we had received over 50 sleeping bags, the majority were brand new.

We have been able to distribute these immediately out via our Street Angels and also through Windsor Homeless Project who we work alongside.
The wishlist has been a fantastic way to share details of physical items that donors can purchase and which are then received by us a few days later. This gives an alternative to those that don’t want to donate cash or who are keen to know what their money will go towards.
We’re thrilled to have plenty of sleeping bags now for the winter months and some warm clothes and first aid refills too.

Our co-ordinator, David Bullock, adds – “We have been overwhelmed at the public response to our appeal and we are very grateful to everyone who has made a donation. With the weather now changing the sleeping bags are becoming an essential item for those people sleeping rough and as a result of the generosity and kindness shown in response to this campaign both Windsor Street Angels and the Windsor Homeless Project now have an opportunity to distribute these items to those who need them.

The postman was quite surprised by the number of boxes too!
