Warm outdoor clothing appeal

In the current extreme weather conditions we urgently need some warm clothing for distribution to the rough sleepers across the town centre.

In this weather clothes become damp very quickly and will then freeze posing a serious threat to our homeless community.

The Street Angels distribute warm clothing to those that need it during their shift and we urgently need to source more quality warm hats, gloves, scarves, flasks and outdoor quality sleeping bags or fleece blankets.

Windsor Leisure Centre and the Co-op Arthur Road have kindly set up collection points for any items you may be able to donate and one of our team will collect these items regularly, clean and sort them. Any items unsuitable (quality or size) will be donated to other charities within Windsor.

We have also set up an online donation page specifically for buying warm clothing/blankets/coffee/soup for the homeless which will then be distributed by the Street Angels. You can donate here.

We are running extra shifts during this period to check on the homeless as well and RBWM Community Wardens and Thames Valley Police are speaking to the homeless daily to ensure they are aware of the option of emergency accommodation under the Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP).
